Student volunteers needed for Library Student Advisory Committee

By Jessica Woolman on September 10, 2014

Calling all undergraduate and graduate students!

We are currently recruiting student volunteers for the 2014-15 Library Student Advisory Committee (LSAC) which meets monthly from September to April. It’s an opportunity to give feedback on library projects, help shape future directions and get involved on campus. Have you ever wondered how the Library works? Ever wanted to share some feedback about your favourite Library study space or find out more about the collections available for your research, but didn’t know who to talk to? Join the Library Student Advisory Committee and make your voice heard!

Those interested in joining are invited to submit a brief letter of intent that answers the question, “Why do you want to be a part of the Library Student Advisory Committee?” Applicants should also specify their faculty, major (if declared) and level (graduate or undergraduate student). Cover letters should no more than one page, and addressed to Julie Mitchell (Managing Librarian, Chapman Learning Commons) and Teri Grant (Coordinator, Learning Initiatives). Students can apply online at CareersOnline (search for posting 811503). Applications close at end of day on September 19, 2014.

For questions, contact Teri Grant at teri.grant@ubc.ca.
