Construction to begin in the Asian Library on Thursday, May 2, 2019
The renovation will allow for better service delivery, study spaces, and programming spaces for the Asian Library as well as several improvements for the collection.
UBC Library Point Grey campus branches closed due to winter weather conditions
UBC Library Point Grey campus branches will be closed on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, due to winter weather conditions. The Irving K. Barber Learning Centre building will remain open, however, service points will be closed. Please refer to UBC.ca for additional updates.
David Lam Library and Canaccord Learning Commons closed from February 22 to February 25
David Lam Library and the Canaccord Learning Commons (CLC) will be closed from Friday, February 22, 2019 at 4 p.m. to Monday, Feb. 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. for upgrades to the front area carpets.
IKBLC closed from December 28 through December 29
The Irving K. Barber Learning Centre will be closed from Friday, December 28 through Saturday, December 29, 2018 due to a health and safety requirement while the fire alarm control panels are replaced, as part of scheduled maintenance.
David Lam Library and Canaccord Learning Commons closed from December 22 through January 1
David Lam Library and the Canaccord Learning Commons (CLC) will be closed from Saturday, December 22, 2018 to Tuesday, January 1, 2019 as the UBC Sauder building will be closed for the holidays.
Chapman Learning Commons to close for renovations
The Chapman Learning Commons (CLC) on Level 3 of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre will be closed for renovations starting July 19, 2019.
Education Library closed on Saturday, December 1
The Education Library will be closed on Saturday, December 1 due to maintenance work going on in the Scarfe Building. Plan ahead to visit one of our other branches.
Level 4 and part of level 5 of Koerner Library closed for construction until early 2019
This renovation will result in an expanded Research Commons, providing technology rich, inviting spaces integrated with services from across the library and the campus conducive to graduate scholarship and advanced research.
Koerner and Education Library branch closures planned for Saturday, June 9
The Koerner and Education libraries will be closed Saturday, June 9 for a planned electrical shutdown related to scheduled maintenance. Plan ahead to visit one of our other branches.
