Housed at the Irving K. Digitizing First Nations materials creates unique challenges around access to the information, storage of digitized material, and culturally appropriate knowledge organization systems.

From June 10-12, UBC Library is hosting the Indigitization Futures Forum. The Forum will be a space for past program participants to meet alongside others concerned with the management of Indigenous Knowledge in communities. Through a series of panels, dialogues, and workshops, participants will come together to discuss past and future projects.
The forum looks to explore:
- the decolonization of information management;
- moving beyond information systems rooted in Western knowledge systems;
- and future directions of the Indigitization project itself.
