Get to Know Rare Books and Special Collections Tours

By Jasmine Devonshire on February 3, 2016

Did you know that UBC Library has a collection of Douglas Coupland fan letters? Vintage graphic design posters? Books and artifacts from centuries past? The Rare Books and Special Collections department is now offering open tours during which visitors can view their unique collections in person.

Every Wednesday throughout spring 2016 from 11 am to noon, the Rare Books and Special Collections (RBSC) department at Irving K. Barber Learning Centre will be offering open tours. See select collections up close and personal, learn about the RBSC services and tour the extensive Chung Collection. The impressive Chung collection includes more than 25,000 rare items including posters, paintings, photographs, maps, books and other artifacts.

Explore the library collections at your leisure: open.library.ubc.ca. This publicly accessible collection is constantly growing and reflects the research interests of the UBC community and beyond.

Where: Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, UBC’s Vancouver campus
When: every Wednesday, Spring 2016, 11am-noon
