New multi-service desk model at Koerner Library

By Jessica Woolman on July 17, 2012

Students heading to Koerner Library might notice a new look to the reference desk on the main floor this July.  The reference and circulation desks have now been combined and are part of a multi-service desk model, providing a one-stop source of information for library users.

This move comes as part of the recommendations from a recent review of how reference services were being provided library-wide. The service model at Koerner will continue to evolve in the coming months based on user needs and experiences. Other branches that will implement this multi-service desk model include the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre (scheduled for Fall 2012) and Woodward Library.
