UBC Library acquires first known account of British Columbia by an English woman

The journal kept by Susannah Weynton documents four months spent on Vancouver Island at Fort Victoria and Fort Rupert and on the mainland at Fort Langley between March and July 1850.

UBC Library has acquired a copy of the Kelmscott Chaucer, one of the world’s most extraordinary books. Printed in a limited edition of only 438 copies, the Works of Geoffrey Chaucer was published by William Morris’s Kelmscott Press in 1896.
