- Establish a safe, productive environment where diversity, theory, and practice can be explored.

Establish connections with the broader community to work on issues of diversity and inclusion.

- Support and collaborate with existing and future diversity and inclusion committees across campus
- Network with other institutions locally, provincially and beyond that are working towards diversity and inclusion goals.
- Appoint a Library Diversity and Inclusion ambassador to participate in UBC’s action plan, Renewing our Commitment to Equity and Diversity
- Partner with other campus stakeholders involved in efforts to diversify UBC’s curricula.

Recruit and retain an excellent, diverse, and inclusive workforce. |
- Align the Library’s human resources practices with intercultural fluency skills and competencies in tandem with Exceptional Workplace initiatives.

Enhance learning and research support services for our diverse community of patrons.

- Partner with the University in its efforts to provide sustainable support for all library users through library instruction and related services that incorporate diversity and inclusion values.

Foster inclusive collections to support research needs and uphold intellectual freedom principles. |
