The Canadian Health Libraries Association (CHLA/ABSC) has recognized Dean Giustini, reference librarian at UBC’s Biomedical Branch Library at the Vancouver General Hospital with its Margaret Ridley Charlton Award for Outstanding Achievement.
The award recognizes a librarian who has made a significant contribution to the field of health sciences librarianship in Canada. “Dean’s contributions to health librarianship are prodigious,” said Aleteia Greenwood, Head, Woodward Library and Hospital Branch Libraries, “His Health Librarian WIKI is a knowledgeable and dependable source for both national and international colleagues. He has also had an impact on health librarianship with the courses he has taught at the UBC iSchool. A well-deserved award.”
