The Digital Media Lab and Sound Recording Room at the UBC Sauder School of Business has several new audio-visual equipment upgrades, thanks to space improvements completed in April.
“Located in the David Lam Management Research Library, the Digital Media Lab is now equipped with four dual-screen Apple Mac Workstations with access to premiere video, photo, and audio editing software,” says Fei Song, Investment Labs Coordinator at the Canaccord Learning Commons.
With a sound recording room, a high-quality scanner, and a video-capture station, the lab is a specialized learning space that enables UBC Sauder students to work on multimedia projects and assignments using professional tools and software. Drop-in help provided by student coaches is also available throughout the winter term, from September to April, for any UBC Sauder students who might need help with their digital media projects.
This upgrade project is part of a series of space improvements being carried out at David Lam Library and Canaccord Learning Commons lab spaces funded by the Sauder School of Business. In September 2022, the Wayne Deans Investment Analysis Centre installed new screens and other upgrades, and added support for USB-C and Ethernet wireless connections, to host hybrid learning sessions. The Leith Wheeler Investment Research Lab is also expected to begin space improvements this coming August.
Lab spaces at can be booked online through the CLC Online Canvas course. Learn more about the Digital Media Lab and the Canaccord Learning Commons.
