By Library Communications on March 31, 2021

The faculty and staff of UBC Library extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the act of senseless violence at the Lynn Valley Public Library on March 27th.

Libraries serve as hubs of their communities, peaceful spaces just like Lynn Valley Public Library that stand in the service of coming together.

As we mourn and support this community in recovering from the grief following this shocking incident, the Lynn Valley Public Library branch will reopen today, March 31. We wish to express our gratitude and appreciation for all that the North Vancouver District Public Library does to serve the North Vancouver community.
