Koerner Library collections moves

By Jessica Woolman on June 1, 2017

Effective June 1, 2017 select materials will move from levels 4 and 5 of the Koerner Library to Library PARC, UBC’s preservation and print repository on South Campus, with retrieval times of 48 hours or less. Users can request materials from alternate locations using the Library catalogue.

These collection shifts are part of Phase 1 of plans to create a renovated and expanded Research Commons on floors 4 and 5 of the Library, providing technology rich, inviting spaces integrated with services from across the library and the campus conducive to graduate scholarship and advanced research. The expanded Research Commons will meet an identified campus need for dedicated learning and collaboration spaces for researchers, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to improve spaces and services for faculty, students and the community.

If you have any questions about the changes, contact Anne Olsen, Head, Koerner Library.
