Research Bazaar: Building Next Generation Digital Research Skills

By michelle blackwell on January 10, 2017

The Research Bazaar is a “worldwide festival promoting the digital literacy emerging at the centre of modern research.”

From February 1-3, 2017, the UBC and SFU Libraries will host workshops and events that allow researchers to gain these skills and connect with one another.

Research Bazaar, or #ResBaz, started two years ago in Melbourne, Australia and has gone global. The events aim “to equip researchers from all career stages with the digital skills and tools required to do their research better, faster, and smarter.”

Python, R, LaTex, GitHub, Data Visualization, Research Communication, GIS, Data Management, SQL, Social Media, QDAS…. sound interesting?
