The BC Health Information Series and the Life Sciences Institute presents “Tuberculosis – a silent local killer and a global threat,” a public lecture on the impact of tuberculosis on the human population today.
This interactive panel of internationally acclaimed speakers has been brought together by the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre and UBC LSI Public Talks, in collaboration with TB Vets Charitable Foundation. Speakers will touch upon the global state of tuberculosis, what new drugs and approaches are needed to combat this disease, and how the spread of drug-resistant strains might be prevented.
