Celebrating small businesses

By Jessica Woolman on November 12, 2014

The Small Business Accelerator program recently launched a “Celebrate YOU!” campaign, which profiles the people who take SBA market research resources to transform their business idea from a concept to a reality.

The first profile looks at mediAm digital distribution, inc, a Transactional Video On Demand (TVOD) distribution platform. In the Q&A with Leslie Marsh, mediAm Vice President of Communications and Content Acquisition, he offers lessons for entrepreneurs starting their business and explains the benefits gained from market research.

About the Small Business Accelerator Program

The Small Business Accelerator (SBA) is an initiative of UBC’s Irving K. Barber Learning Centre. The program offers a trustworthy point of access to diverse sources of quality business planning information, education and assistance for B.C. entrepreneurs on the Internet. The SBA develops information services to help B.C. entrepreneurs, start-ups and businesses find the relevant information and tools to enhance market research that is a crucial part of sound business planning.
