Celebrating Small Business Month

By Jessica Woolman on October 9, 2014

October marks the beginning of Small Business Month, where we celebrate the vitality that small businesses bring to the culture and economy of Canada.

The Small Business Accelerator Program (SBA), an initiative of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, is hoping to highlight small businesses throughout the province. The program is seeking submissions to their Celebrating YOU! campaign – which gives entrepreneurs the chance to be featured on the website, share experiences and contribute to the small business community.

B.C. boasted the highest number of small businesses per capita in 2012, and the SBA provides market research resources for transforming a small business from concept to reality.

To learn more about the SBA, visit their website. To learn about the Celebrating YOU! campaign, visit the SBA blog or contact Aleha McCauley for more details.
