Collections move update – Science and Engineering

By Jessica Woolman on April 2, 2013

Movement of Library Materials from Irving K. Barber Learning Centre to Woodward Library

Last May, the Library announced the consolidation of the science library and collections into Woodward Library. Starting the week of March 25, the applied science collections from the 4th floor of the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre will begin to move to the 2nd floor of the Woodward Library. We anticipate this re-location to take approximately 6 weeks. Science and Engineering materials in call numbers Q through W in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre will move excluding the following:

i. Sub-class QA (Math, Stats, CompSci)
ii. Sub-class SB (Landscape Architecture)
iii. Sub-class TR (Photography)
iv. Materials in other call number areas in IKBLC. (A – P)

These items will remain in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre.

On-site signage, digital signage and web information has also been updated to reflect this information and to re-direct Library users. If you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask staff about the move or request help in finding material or contact Aleteia Greenwood, Acting Head, Woodward Library at aleteia.greenwood@ubc.ca (phone 2-0689).
