Update as of March 1, 2013
UBC Library is undergoing significant changes to transform into a 21st-century library for faculty, students and the community.
As of December 14, all Science & Engineering Library staff have been relocated from the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre to Woodward Library; phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same. This move will provide easy access to the combined expertise of Science & Engineering staff and Woodward Library staff.
Faculty and students who access the Science & Engineering materials in the Library should note that beginning on December 20, Science & Engineering Reserve materials, Reference materials, and Current Journals (all excluding Math materials) will be moved to Woodward Library. Some of these materials may be unavailable until early January 2013. The remaining Science & Engineering books will be available in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre until they are moved in Spring 2013. The transfer of select Science and Engineering material into the ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) was completed in February 2013.
Although physical collections moves are ongoing, the Library catalogue remains up-to-date. Physical signage redirecting faculty and students to Woodward Library will be posted in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre. Access to electronic journals and our digital collections remains unchanged.
