UBC is reviewing the service models of two hospital libraries located at St. Paul’s Hospital (St. Paul’s Hospital Library) and at the Children’s and Women’s Hospital (Hamber Library).
During the summer, a working group from the two departments reviewed the current service model for UBC’s hospital libraries and conducted a survey of the UBC user community at the Biomedical Branch Library, St. Paul’s Hospital Library and Hamber Library.
The survey was released in August 2012 and the survey results have now been released.

The working group’s recommendations on various service models – including virtual services, additional ways to access our collections and resources, and funding possibilities – have been provided to senior administration at the Faculty of Medicine and the University Librarian for further discussion.
