Construction for the multi-service reference desk for the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre begins this month. The multi-service desk will bring together the Reference, Circulation and Learning Commons functions on the third floor of the building. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
This is one of three branches undergoing a multi-service desk model renovation as a result of an internal service review undertaken by Library staff last year. The other branches that will implement the multi-service desk model are Koerner Library (July 2012) and Woodward Library (to be determined).
