How can the library better support you?
We want to hear from you
In February 2013 UBC Library will ask a random sample of students and faculty for feedback about the library. The LibQUAL+® survey measures satisfaction with library services and will help us identify successes and areas for improvement.
If you receive a survey invitation on February 12 please take the time to share your experience of the library and help us evolve to better support your academic needs.
Have something to say but not selected for the survey? We’d still like to hear from you. Send your comments or questions to Jeremy Buhler at email@example.com.
Why LibQUAL+® and why now?
LibQUAL+® is an internationally recognized survey instrument that measures satisfaction with library services. In 2013 UBC Library joins a consortium of nearly 50 Canadian academic libraries using LibQUAL+® to better understand and respond to student and faculty expectations.
UBC Library implements LibQUAL+® periodically to stay in touch with your priorities and to monitor our progress. We last ran the survey in 2010 when results informed significant change. Three years later it’s time to take the collective pulse again, to measure our successes as well as to identify new areas for improvement.
It’s no secret that much is changing in academic libraries, at UBC and around the world. To make the most of available resources we need your feedback. Your candid, confidential responses will help UBC Library better support you while continuing to fulfill its strategic goals.
Who is eligible?
A random sample of students and faculty members will receive email invitations with a link to the online LibQUAL+® survey. The invitation will include more information about the survey, the confidentiality of responses, and incentive prizes.
